Beyond Britten – new book coming soon

The final edits are now being made to a fantastic new book on the place of the composer in the community edited by Ghislaine Kenyon and Peter Wiegold.

In his Aspen lecture (1964) Benjamin Britten expressed a unique commitment to community and place. Opening with with a reprint of the lecture it then features reflections on the role of the composer in the community in Britain over the last 50 years by leading composers and thinkers including
